Dr. Michael P. Kimball is a highly accomplished orthopaedic surgeon with extensive sports medicine and arthroscopy expertise. He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role at Girard Orthopaedic Surgeons Medical Group, Inc.
Dr. Kimball’s academic journey began at Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 1981. He continued his medical education at George Washington University in Washington, DC, earning his medical degree in 1986. Dr. Kimball then completed a general surgical internship and surgical residency at the University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham, AL, from 1986 to 1992. To further specialize, he completed a fellowship in Bone and Joint disorders at the Institute for Bone and Joint Disorders in Phoenix, AZ, from 1992 to 1993.
Dr. Kimball is actively involved in national and international medical education, sharing his expertise in total joint replacement, ACL reconstruction, and arthroscopic shoulder surgery.
