Andrew “Andy” Harrah, PT, CAFS
Andy graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. He then enrolled at USC and earned his Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy. He has been a licensed physical therapist since 1980 and has had the opportunity to practice at some of San Diego's finest sports and orthopedic facilities over the years. He has worked with athletes from the San Diego Padres, San Diego Chargers, USA Men's National Volleyball Team, PGA and Senior Tour professionals, professional surfers as well as many youth participants. Andy was an instructor at UCSD for the courses "Musculoskeletal and Biomechanical Evaluation: and "Sports Injury: Prevention and Treatment".
Andy has specialized in utilizing a functional approach and postural correction exercises in his treatments. Andy has presented the seminar "Postural Dysfunction Therapy" to the San Diego and Orange County Chapters of the American Physical Therapy Association. Andy has studied the principles of Applied Functional Science developed by the Gray Institute. He is certified in the 3D MAPS Movement Analysis and Performance System and has earned the Certification in Applied Functional Science (CAFS). Andy also utilizes the CoreTex Reactive Platform. This is the only device that provides neuromusculoskeletal facilitation and integration in all 3 planes of motion simultaneously.
Andy is a skilled manual therapist, utilizing Maitland and Kaltenborn Techniques, among other approaches. He is also a certified ALINE expert for orthotic fitting.
Andy's extensive background and clinical knowledge provides patients with the opportunity for optimal results.
Ali Anderson, PT, DPT, CAFS
Ali is a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy. After graduating from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology, Ali moved back to Fresno to work as a high school tennis coach for three years. During that time, she decided that her skills as a coach would be suited for a career in physical therapy. She then came to sunny San Diego to earn her DPT degree at the University of St. Augustine of Health Sciences. During her time in school, she had internships in both Orthopedics and Acute Care. After finishing her DPT, she decided to stay in San Diego and took a position here at Girard Orthopedics.
As an outdoor enthusiast, Ali fully understands having the ability to do the activities you love and enjoy. Each session with Ali is tailored to each patient’s specific interests and goals, while providing education and skills that can be maintained long after physical therapy has ended. Ali’s practice utilizes functional techniques and she has earned her Certification in Applied Functional Science (CAFS) from the Gray Institute. In addition, Ali has experience with sport specific rehab and injury screening. She believes in the power of positivity and how commitment from both PT and patient are necessary for optimizing movement for the enjoyment of everyday life.
When not in the clinic, you’ll find Ali surfing, playing tennis or beach volleyball, and camping.
Reggie Pamintuan, PT, DPT
Reggie is a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy. He earned his Kinesiology degree from San Diego State University. His passion for human movement and fitness quickly grew while performing personal training and during high school football and track & field coaching. From these experiences he learned to focus on biomechanics to help clients safely and effectively reach their goals and furthered his love for movement and performance by learning how to individually train each athlete to their fullest potential. While coaching, he realized he had a knack for making the right adjustments to optimize each athlete’s progress but felt there was a gap when that progress was hampered by injuries. He enrolled at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences he earned his DPT degree.
Reggie loves enjoying life with his friends and family, especially when it involves traveling and food! Which means he understands how important it is to feel 100% functional when you want to simply enjoy your interests and activities, especially here in America’s Finest City. Reggie will take each session with you as a great opportunity to help you reach your specific goals by using Applied Functional Science principles and his skills as a movement specialist.
