Simon Li, PT, DPT
Simon’s early passion for nature and science, coupled with his interest in the human body, drove him to pursue degrees in both the micro and macroscopic underpinnings of the body. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Reno, Nevada. He then completed his graduate studies in physical therapy from Washington University in St. Louis and is currently a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy. His course work at Washington University emphasized proper movement mechanics as the foundation to optimal physical health.
Simon believes that “our bodies are intended to move in specific ways, and even minor deviations, amplified by the repetitions of daily life, can throw these perfectly balanced systems into disarray. This results in pain and dysfunction. From his schooling and experience, it became clear to him that the body is beautifully designed and requires a team-approach to maintain.
Therefore, he decided to join the team here at Girard Orthopaedic Surgeons because a multidisciplinary approach provides the best outcomes. He believes in empowering each individual with the knowledge and tools to be in control of their own condition and recovery.
In his spare time Simon enjoys hiking outdoors, exercising at the gym, aquascaping and lounging on the couch watching Netflix.
